For an afternoon with a touch more architecture and atmosphere, Cask 307 delivers. Housed in a striking timber-frame building with sweeping views of the valley, it’s a modern take on the classic winery visit. Think a deli spread of meats and cheeses, a dog-friendly patio, and, on select evenings, live opera or classical strings drifting across the vines.
Set on the grounds of the historic St. Joseph Vineyard, Baci pairs its wines with genuinely lovely Italian-inspired fare. The kind of place where a glass of Sangiovese and a warm welcome go hand in hand. It’s a newer addition to the region’s wine trail, but one that’s quickly become a favorite for its relaxed hospitality and charm.
For something a little more elevated, Vincent William is worth the drive to the Lake Erie shoreline. Set in a restored lakeside mansion, it’s part winery, part inn, part destination. Known for its award-winning estate Cabernet Franc, seasonal dining, and stunning views.
