MotorCoach Resort Lake Erie Shores is a popular RV destination for many reasons. Here are some of the most frequently asked questions we get at MotorCoach Resort Lake Erie Shores.

What are the motorcoach requirements at Motorcoach Resort Lake Erie Shores?

Our Owner’s Association defined Class A in the traditional sense as motor homes and converted buses with a flat front (not a truck, van or semi-front end). Class A motorcoaches must be a minimum of 28 feet in length and be no older than ten years of age, if older photos must be sent for approval to management.

Our Owner’s Association defined Super Cs as motor homes and converted buses with a truck or semi front end. Super Cs must be at least 36’ on length and must have a cohesive / matching paint scheme throughout the coach’s length. All Super Cs must send photos for approval before or at the time of booking!

We understand the appeal of other types of coaches and trailers, but we don’t have a provision to host those units as either a guest or owners.

A deposit of 50% will be taken for each lot booked. There is a 3.5% fee for all credit card transactions. Site numbers are not guaranteed. We are a lot ownership resort which means that, in the unlikely event the lot needs to be changed, you will be notified as soon as possible to discuss a suitable replacement lot.

Guests unexpectedly delayed must contact us to avoid losing the remaining days of a reservation. Early departure: Unfortunately, we cannot refund portions of a stay in the event of an early departure. If a guest faces extenuating circumstances, they should call Guest Services. All rates are subject to change.

Reservations cancelled or revised in any way including arrival/departure dates, lot # or type with more than a sixty (60) day notice of check in date will be charged 50% of the deposit (additional fees may apply). Reservations cancelled within sixty (60) days of the reservation check in date will be charged 100% of all monies received(additional fees may apply).

RESORT POLICIES (during your stay):

1. Check-In is at 1:00 pm. Check-Out is at 10:00 am. For early arrival or late check-out please contact Guest Services. There are no refunds for early checkout.

2. All guests of the resort must register with Guest Services at The Welcome Center upon arrival.

3. Guests are asked to remember that these are all privately owned lots, we ask that they are kept in the same condition/standard consistent with the property throughout your stay and upon departure. Lots are carefully inspected before arrival and upon departure. If a guest has been found to have damaged items on the lot there will be at least a $200 charge, depending on the damage and scope of work to clean and fix damages.

4. Guest vehicles must be registered. Guests can stop by the Welcome Center to do so. If there is no space for the visiting guest to park on the lot’s pad, then we ask that the car be parked in one of our public parking areas in front of the property. There is no parking allowed in the roadways within the property.

5. The amenities of the resort, including the pool and Clubhouse, are reserved for overnight guests and owners. Overnight guests may not bring in visitors.

6. Pool hours are 10 am to 9 pm. Spa hours are 10 am to 11 pm.

7. Trash pickup occurs daily at 10am, if you miss pickup, please deposit your trash in the bins at the fenced dumpster pad just west of the gate or hold onto until the following mornings pick up. Please refrain from leaving trash out overnight due to wildlife concerns. Guests may drop trash at the dumpster station as needed at any time. Unfortunately, we do not have recycling available on our property.

8. To extend your stay, please contact Guest Services.

9. Quiet hours are between 10 pm and 8 am.

10. Grills (charcoal/gas) are allowed on lots – no wood. No standalone frier units are allowed to be used on property.

11. Portable gas firepits are permitted on lots. Wood fires are only permitted in designated areas.

12. Site decorations or ornamentation are not permitted, except those of a permanent nature by lot owners, within the guidelines of the Homeowners Association.

13. The Resort is pet friendly – two well-mannered dogs are allowed per lot. Pets must be always kept on a leash while on property. Pet waste stations are available throughout the resort. Please pick up after your pet. Pets causing disturbance or harm will be subject to removal from the Resort. Pets are allowed in The Welcome Center but are not permitted in the Clubhouse or Pool Complex. Service pets are not allowed inside the Pool and Spa. (In the case of an emergency guests can shelter in place in the clubhouse theater with their pets.)

14. Washing of vehicles is permitted on lots.

15. The speed limit within the Resort is 15 miles per hour.

16. Clotheslines, tents, screen rooms, lawn decorations, temporary pet fences, and other temporary enclosures are not permitted. Temporary pools, splash pads, slip and slides, etc. are not permitted.

17. Brandishing or discharging firearms, lethal weapons, and fireworks are prohibited.

18. Smoking is not allowed in or near the public buildings or gathering spaces of the resort.

19. Electric golf carts are encouraged. Gas-powered golf carts are not permitted. To drive a golf cart on property you must be at least 16 years of age and have a valid driver’s license. If riding at night you must have proper lighting.

20. Electric golf carts and bikes may be ridden on streets within the Resort, or other designated pathways, but not in Preserve areas. No skateboards allowed on the property. No wheeled items – roller skates, roller blades, one wheels, etc. can be ridden inside any of the resort’s buildings or amenities areas.

21. Please respect the privacy of others by not walking on occupied or developed lots, except by invitation. Sales staff are available for lot tours.

22. For their safety, children under the age of 14 are not allowed on the fitness equipment.

23. Catch & release fishing is allowed in our waterways and ponds. Please, no swimming or water play. Please be respectful of lot owners and renters by keeping right along the waterways when fishing.

24. All guests must unhook their tows, dollies or trailers upon arrival. We also ask that guests use our large pull-out areas outside of the gate to hook back up upon departure, rather than in our resort’s roadways.

25. Trailers and dollies cannot be parked at your lot. Trailor parking is available on site. Short term parking is free for guests and owners for up to two weeks. Anything longer than 2 weeks will come at a charge of $20 per day. We can recommend other local options if you contact the front office.

26. Resort Management assumes no responsibility for injury, accident, damage, or loss of personal property from any cause of nature.

27. Resort Management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone and ask them to leave the Resort, if necessary. No refunds will be issued.

We use a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order. We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database. It will only be accessible by those authorized with special rights to such systems. They are required to keep the information confidential. After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.

We are a dog-friendly resort (gentle breeds only) but please only 2 dogs are allowed. Dogs should be on a 6-ft leash at all times unless in your Motorcoach or the dog park. Please be considerate about leaving your pets unattended in your motorcoach or vehicle due to barking, heat, etc.
Please refrain from allowing pets in resort buildings except for guide dogs or dogs trained to assist the handicapped.
We are in a park-like setting and with your help, it will stay that way. Please clean up after your dog and dispose of their waste in a sanitary manner. Pets causing disturbance or harm will be subject to removal from the Resort. Please note that there are no temporary fences or enclosures allowed on our lots.

Yes, we are a golf cart friendly community, we request exclusively electric carts to be used through property!

Check-in is at 1:00 pm. Check-out is 10:00 am. For early arrival or late check-out please contact Guest Services. Additional charges may apply. There are no refunds for early checkout.

Onsite – $20/day self-serve behind the Welcome Center for any owner needing more than 2 weeks during the year.

Offsite – Willow Creek Campground
(3 miles from the resort) has outdoor parking available for $60/month.

Offsite Storage – Local Storage in Madison
(6 miles from the resort) has enclosed spaces from 5’x5′ up to 10’x40′ (some units are climate controlled), but currently doesn’t have any outdoor parking/storage available.

Owning a lot at MotorCoach Resort Lake Erie Shores allows you to enjoy the resort year-round, taking advantage of summer sports, fall foliage, winter snow activities, and spring blossoms. As an owner, you’ll have the freedom to visit as you wish, knowing your preferred lot and amenities will be waiting for you. You’ll build long-lasting friendships with fellow owners and eagerly anticipate your return to the community. Additionally, you have the option to place your property in a rental pool, generating income to help offset annual costs if desired.

MotorCoach Resort Lake Erie Shores will utilize talented designers to put into place the best ideas of each new lot owner as they design the interiors. Customization will be fun with such a flexible platform to work with. Building out the bungalow and lot all at once will be a good opportunity for a perfect indoor/outdoor balance.

The general layout of the lot including brick paver pad color, the bungalow location and exterior finish will need to be determined so the shell can be built. Beyond this the unit can remain unfinished on the interior until final plans for layout can be accomplished. Basic landscaping will be required at the time the bungalow is constructed.

All of the lots at MotorCoach Resort Lake Erie Shores have been and will continue to be open all year for enjoyment. Both with and without coaches, there are residents who enjoy their lots every month of the year. Bungalows offer additional conditioned space that often leads to additional visits by lot owners.

FROM THE WEST (CLEVELAND, OH)

Take I-90 E. Get off at Exit 218 – OH-534. Turn left onto OH-534 N and continue for @5.6 miles. Be mindful of the 2 railroad tracks crossings – slow and steady. Turn left onto Lake Road West and continue for @1.7 miles. Our entrance to the Resort is on the left.

Take I-76 W. Take Exit 234 for I-680 N. Then take Exit 3A for OH-711. Continue onto OH 11 N. Take Exit 94-B onto I-90 W toward Cleveland. Get off at Exit 218 – OH-534.
